Oh man, these people are like extended family to us now. So caring and they listen. They give lots of options and don't judge if you have to make hard decision based on finances. Love them all.
I can not put into words how amazing these people are. At the beginning of this month I had to have one of my best friends of over ten years put to sleep. My children and I had Ranger since he was two months old, and we couldn't have asked for a better dog. He was the absolute best protector, listener, playmate, and cuddle buddy. Even though you know that ending a loved ones pain is the nicest thing you can do for them, it is not easy. It's actually one of the hardest things to do. Everyone at Phoenix Animal Hospital made the situation as easy as something like that can be. We got to be with him and he felt no fear. They handled everything with so much compassion and empathy and it really made a difference. It was also a touching surprise to receive a card in the mail a week later with hand written notes and signatures from everyone there expressing their sympathy at our loss of a loved one. It was nice to read that others who had met him thought he was a great dog too. If you have a furry loved one, then Phoenix Animal Hospital and everyone there are definitely the people you want in charge of their veterinary care.
Had my first visit recently, and my cat was diagnosed with Bronchitis by the doctor. I spent 217.00 for x-ray, and meds for my cat. On the 10th day on Prednisilone, she vomited and was sick..I called the vet early in the morning to have the doctor call me. Twice I called, and the receptionist was nasty. She was only one available so it was difficult to get through to somebody, then they left me waiting on the line forever. The lead receptionist was snippy. She finally said that the incoming doctor would call me after surgeries...NOBODY called me, and they closed. I can't believe the irresponsible behavior and non action from them. My cat is sick and I need to know if it is safe for her to come off the predisilone suddenly. I will never come back again, I was treated rudely and carelessly. Bad office manner. Also the waiting room was filthy. I had to ask someone to wipe off all the benches as pet hair and dried saliva was all over them. How careless and loose these people are, yet they have a licence to take your money and the lives of our pets in their hands.
I love Dr Winters and the whole staff! They have been so great.
Dr. Winters is a great vet but his front desk lady- Sue, told me that they wouldn't see me for 2 days even though she believed my dog had a fox tail in her paw. I told her that I'm not letting my dog go for 2 days with a hole in her paw and if it was a fox tail she would be abscessed by then. She told me I'd have to find somewhere else to go. And she never put me on hold to ask the vet, so I'm aware it wasn't his call to put off the appointment. I called another vet as soon as we hung up and although they were totally packed with appointments, they told me to come down and they'd squeeze us in between appointments and get my dog seen. I'm a very good client and have spent a lot of money in a short amount of time at Phoenix Animal and do not feel appreciated by them at all.
