I had waited awhile to have fox tail removed from my pets paw thinking I could fix it. I was able to get my dog into Banfield Hosp faster than our regular vet. Everyone was professional, the bill straightforward but very expensive, $500 for 1 dog 1 paw. Our girl is doing very well after her care. Only 4 star due to the expensive care, the plastic cone alone was $12.99.
I've had nothing but issues here. All the staff and vets are incredibly friendly but I've had misdiagnoses, a suture that healed absolutely horribly, and they never have available office appointments except for like a month out and so I can't ever see the vet one on one. Overall they're too busy and overbooked to give your pet the care they require.
I brought my dog in because she was having great difficulty walking, very stiff and sore. He looked at her, NEVER TOUCHED HER, and said it was arthritis. I asked him to feel the joints etc. and he didn't do it. He gave her joint pain medication. Within 2 weeks she got so bad she couldn't walk and was in extreme pain, so I took her to another vet who immediately figured out it was Lyme disease. She healed very well. I will never go back to him again.
The people there are fine. But the service, insurance, and wait times are seriously out of control. Much better local options for pet care then this.
I love my vet and I really like Banfield in general. I know it's a chain with policies but my vet is very thorough and genuinely care about our dog. She takes care of us and him and tells it like it is.
