5 stars for farmers market in a Great woodsy grassy shady setting. Pennington Farms berry stand always a treat with their manager (Sloane) quick to provide helpful product and selection info in a cheerful manner. The wood fired pizza stand...excellent quality and very reasonable ($11 as of 10/17). Griffin Creek coffee roasters run by an enthusiastic owner (Truman ?) is very good.
On Thursdays there is a great grower's market. There is a dog park and a lot of play ground equipment. Not a safe place after dark there due to homeless people though.
We like to take walks in Hawthorne Park. There can be questionable people in the area so if you take pets or kids best to keep a close eye on them. We also use the dog park here which is decent.
Much better than it used to be. Really nice dog park and playground. Still a homeless problem but I have been seeing MPD theremore often.
