Never used this company before, so we decided to give them a try. Days noticed was made and Action Heavy Haul was made clear that load need to be at site at a certain time prior on agreement. Specific instructions were made to keep me posted so i can open up yard and get equipment for driver. Needless to say i was never notified that no carrier was assigned. Sunday before the scheduled Monday delivery I contacted Bill Munsell, Account Manager to find out no carrier was going to pick up equipment. Unprofessional, what would of happen if i didn't contact Action Heavy Haul on Sunday, I would of had a customer waiting for equipment that was never going to arrive. For the Lack of communication from Action Heavy Haul not only did i loose a sale but i have lost the trust of a customer. Way to go Action Heavy Haul.
We took a load for this company a month ago or so through a deceitful woman named Janice. Janice assured us that the dozer we were sent to load would be all legal dimensions. Upon my double drop drivers arrival however that clearly was not the case which isn't a big deal. We have our own permit office and my driver is an experienced over the road, OS/OD driver. We notified Janice and was told that we would be given $75 extra to haul the load. The permits for this particular lane amounted to over $100. My driver, an owner-op, agreed that due to the change and not enough money in permits we couldn't haul the load. When we asked for a Truck Order Not Used we were told we would not receive one due to REFUSING TO LOAD. I then contacted Ken, the owner of Action Heavy Haul. I was told that we knew it was over-sized from the start and we refused the load. The rate confirmation also never stated that the load would be over dimensional. We were then offered a $25 Truck Order Not Used via Ken which also has not been received.
We had a terribly damaged load come in and had to refuse it. We were on net 30 day terms with them. As soon as things got complex where we needed to file a claim etc, these people decided they would NOT tell us where the machine even went to, and went so far as to hid who the carrier even was until they got paid their inbound freight bill (which destroyed the machine). They are basically holding us hostage to a bill that isnt due for another 27 days!!! The owner is an arrogant individual who just makes his own rules up as he goes!
Do not do business with these lying con artists. Not only will they nickel and dime you once you have delivered their load they will try and wisel their way out of paying you. Not to mention their lack of communication, and then they want to blame the carrier. Needless to say I will be filing on thier bond along with another carrier that was contracted on a big move we did for them.
