The lanes themself are clean and well taken care of. The score machines/monitors have no real issues and have fun themes for kids or those just looking to add a little more fun to their game. I rate the lanes only at a 3 as I'm not a fan of the material the floor is made of. For non-bowlers it's not a big deal but for the experienced bowler it's not very friendly. The boards on the approach are very sticky and can mess up your entire game. The lanes seem over oiled or incorrectly oiled. I've witnessed multiple experienced bowlers either trip because of the sticky floor or have their ball go straight to the gutter with no traction for the ball to "hook".
Lava Lanes makes this up with their other amenities such as well priced and tasty food, the best arcade in the Medford area and a great sports bar.
This is a great bowling alley. Clean, 40 polished lanes and friendly service. Food and drinks and a nice sized arcade. I really enjoyed bowling at Lava Lanes.
This is a great place for a family night of food, fun and drink. If you're looking for a more "classic" feel to your bowling experience, check out the other bowling alley in town.
We are here weekly for our kids bowling league. Most of the staff is excellent! Food is good, slightly expensive for bowling alley food. I guess they are going for more upscale. The bar is smaller but big enough unless they are hosting an event or big tv event. Has quite a large arcade, only downside is you have to preload money onto cards that kids swipe and it's a terrible system. Liked the token and ticket system much better. Normally a very clean bowling alley, staff is very on top of clearing and cleaning tables.
Fantastic place to find as I was traveling by. The high tech graphics let you take funny pictures of yourself. The bowling alley was clean and well run. I wish I had one of these near my hometown!!

This place is great. Good pizza and hamburgers. We didn't bowl but did play in the arcade which made for a really great birthday for my little one.
This was going to be a 3 star review but that was just based on the bowling lanes. The business as a whole is 4 star worthy
